Morgan commissioned us to install 1 new, bespoke Bus Bar system due to an issue they were experiencing with poor harmonics in the existing installation.

The Solution

In busbar systems, harmonic mitigation involves minimising unwanted harmonic currents & voltages caused by non-linear loads, using methods like passive or active filters, network reconfiguration, & load balancing to ensure stable and efficient power distribution.

Mitigation Through Design

The new, intelligently designed system helped to:

• Reduce Impedance – less voltage drop & less heat generation, which can be exacerbated by harmonics.
• Effective Installation -ensuring proper grounding and earthing helps prevent harmonic currents from circulating in unintended paths.
• Preventing Degradation – the new system will withstand harmonic currents without overheating or premature failure
