We were commissioned to design & install highly bespoke heating system that delivered exacting conditions for their world-leading production hub.
The Solution
As no two vertical farms are the same, it was important to understand the brief clearly from the get-go. The original design brief shifted several times throughout the project as we developed a closer understanding of the overall operation.
The final solution was designed to control the air across the entire growing space, but with an option to split the space into multiple zones, to enable the introduction of different temperature pockets, suitable for different crop types.
Benefits
The key benefit was the ability to create different air patterns independently several areas of the facility. This allowed the option to grow different products at different rack levels & allow harvesting of products at different times in the same facility
