Emergency Lighting Testing and certification

Emergency lighting is required in premises to enable occupants to escape safely in an emergency situation. BS 5266-1 states that a building must have adequate illumination to support escape and identify firefighting equipment (or any other fire safety equipment)

Emergency lighting systems require regular testing and certification to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.  An up-to-date certificate verifies that the system has been properly installed, tested, and meets safety standards, often required for insurance and legal reasons.
